We all know one of the main attractions people come to L.A. is for Disneyland. Well, it's not quite in the heart of Los Angeles but more like adjacent in Anaheim. It's about a 45 minute drive from my place, so it isn't too far out to get there!

For some months out of the year, I have the luxury of living in a new US city for a few months at a time because of work. One of those cities I got to live in was Las Vegas...Downtown Las Vegas to be exact.

If you live in Los Angeles (or even if you are visiting Las Vegas), the quickest way to visit the Grand Canyon would be via Grand Canyon West. If you want to have a taste of what the Grand Canyon can offer, the western side of the canyon is a great launch pad location.

Oh man, Maui was great. Where do I start? First off, this was a trip planned by my boyfriend. So I had no idea what would happen other than that there was an itinerary set in motion once we land down in Maui.

One of the things New York is known for is their museums. So how do you choose between all of them? Well, let me help you with that.

So, as part of my yearly birthday tradition, I would pick an activity/site for my college friends and I to do (or go to). The year of 2013, I decided to check off one of the 1,000 sites by going to at least one of the missions recommended in the state of California.

From what I remember as a kid, the Grand Canyon was cool but the journey to get there was not so pleasant. Now, as an adult, I'm able to explore it with more appreciation and understanding of what it has to offer.

So did you know that it takes 3 hours each way to go from Seattle to San Juan Island on the Washington State Ferry? Well, it does. So I suggest you bring lots of reading materials or jam pack your Ipad with movies and shows to watch.

Washington D.C. really feels like a city of government. Everywhere I turn there is a government building, museum, or politician hangout restaurant. We flew on a red eye into D.C. and landed super early Friday morning (those economy seats are really rough these days!). Jean, one of my dear college friends, had been road tripping throughout the U.S. with her husband.

So I lived in Seattle for the summer/fall of 2016, and I have mixed feelings about the city. I loved the openness of the people and how it melded nature and cityscape together. But the city also has this pompous and cheeky vibe too which I don't appreciate.

I must say, I was a bit skeptical of trying to accomplish the task of seeing all these museums in one short weekend. But I did it! Would I say it was the best experience in my life? No. But I did feel more cultured and aware of art afterwards. I felt sophisticated, even if it was for only a day or two.
